Shoppers Confidential Inc. Mystery Shopping Services has absolutely NO affiliation with The Shopping Group, Inc.
We have been contacted by numerous persons regarding a local mystery shopper scam involving cashing fraudulent cheques. Apparently, a person receives an unsolicited notice stating they have the opportunity to become a mystery shopper. Instructions are provided to make certain purchases, cash a cheque (usually a very high amount) and wire a portion to a third party. Unfortunately, the cheques are from a stolen account, and they are returned NSF leaving the "mystery shopper" who cashed the cheque liable for the amount.
The Shopping Group, Inc. has been using two different addresses. One in Waterloo, Ontario and the other one in Kitchener, Ontario. The address in Kitchener belongs to the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce who has never heard of such company.
Shoppers Confidential Inc., located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada has absolutely no affiliation with The Shopping Group, Inc. We are a legally registered business providing legitimate Mystery Shopping Services. We are the only Mystery Shopping company (that we are aware of!) in the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge area.
